The director of Jeunes Archets since 2023, Verna Kaunisto is a Finnish violinist, non-fiction writer and educator with a master's degree in music and more than 20 years of experience in music pedagogy in France, Luxembourg, Portugal and in Finland.

As an educator, Verna has worked with young children and adolescents for over 20 years. She found new ways to find solutions to learning difficulties and made learning instruments more accessible to young students.

 

Verna has been very dedicated to the violin her whole life and she has said that she is truly in love with this instrument.
